From Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, Mrs. Akila
Ramasubramaniam, a senior teacher, and
Mr. Lara Abhishek, head of the children's yoga classes, conducted a yoga
workshop for the students and teachers of Sushil Hari School at our
Auditorium. Mr. Lara demonstrated various
asanas for all round fitness. School Correspondent Sri. Venkatraman honored
them.

Our school student Prathyuksha of XI std. won a round of good applause,
demonstrating her yoga skills.

Also improves flexibility and general fitness with increased stamina.
Induces better concentration and enhances memory and retention capacity. Is
a lot of fun and a very healthy pastime.
Journalism
is derived from the word Journal. Journal means record of events.
Eligibility: Graduation in any subject. You can also do diploma in
journalism. Function of Journals: reporting, editing, analyzing and
interpreting.
Journalism as a career has a wide scope and is very rewarding. Initially a
journalist starts with a salary of Rs.20,000 and above. Journalism can be of
2 types. Field Journalism and Desk Journalism.
Institutes offering Journalism course: Asian Institute of Journalism, Mudra
Institute of Communication (MICA) Ahmedabad --. you can take up this course
only after graduation; this is equal to M.B.A Degree from IIM; you will be
given job offers on queue when you complete this program from MICA.
Madras University offers P.G. in Journalism.
School Sponsored Educational Trip – July 7th
A trip to Koyambedu bus stand and market was organized for students of V
and VI standards.
Free scholarship (includes food, uniform, higher
education and hostel facilities) is being offered to students who have
completed Standard X Public Examination with 95% and above, irrespective of
the community they belong to.

Carnatic
music sessions were staged by Seetalakshmi Duraiswamy, Visalakshi troupe at
the Nataraja Auditorium in Rama Rajya. The performance was staged by using
simple kitchen utensils. Sushil Hari school students expressed amazement and
interest in this novel performance.
Field Trip
Sushil Hari School students of Standard VIII
were taken on a field trip to the Police Station on July 14th.
Inter-school Music Competition
Sushil Hari School students have been selected
for semi-finals in the Inter-school Music competition conducted at Bharatya
Vidya Bhavan by the ‘Bhaktaswara Bhajan’ troupe on July 15th.
