It is absolutely irrelevant whether you accept or love God.  God must love and accept you; that is what really matters.

 

You may be familiar with the story of Abu Ben Adam that you learnt at school. 

One night, an angel appears in his dream and she seems to be recording some information. When questioned, the angel clarifies that she is making an inventory of those who love God. Abu is disappointed to note that his name is not there in the list. The following night, he has a similar dream and this time the angel tells him that she is tabulating information about those whom God loves, and Abu Ben Adam’s name tops the list.   

 

So, our names need not figure in the list of those who love God.  Our noble lives must place us in the list of those whom God loves.  Then we have cleared the final test of life.
