Worldly relationships are unreal

The Prison

Once a murderer was caught and sentenced to ten years imprisonment.  Thinking himself to be clever, he escaped from prison and ran away to a forest.  In this forest, he lived a coward's life, fearing arrest every second.

Finally, one day, he was caught and put into jail for more number of years.  He had wasted more number of years, fearing arrest and losing his peace of mind, than if he had stayed in prison - he would probably have been released sooner if he had conducted himself properly in prison.

If we run away from this jail of material life to which God has sentenced us, for our deeds in various lives, we will only be extending our punishment to various lives.

God provides whatever is necessary for life - food, clothing and shelter.  When our term of sentence is over, He himself will send His representative to free us from the bonds of this prison.
